David Goldstein, a native Austinite, has been an insurance broker in Austin for over 30 years. He received his BBA in Accounting and Insurance and his MBA in Finance from the University of Texas at Austin. In 1980, David earned his Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU) designation and served the local professional chapter as President from 1989 through 1990.

A member of the 1998-99 Leadership Austin class, David has been very active in non-profit organi-zations. He has been on various boards, in a variety of capacities, including serving as President of Congregation Beth Israel. Currently he holds the position of President of the University of Texas Hillel Foundation.

David and his wife Candy have been married for over 30 years. They have two daughters, Rachel, a commercial real estate broker in Miami, and Leah, currently a college student. In their leisure time, David and Candy enjoy spending time with their children and, as everyone knows, attending UT athletic events.
